1. How does the small tuition fee cover the room and board?
It doesn’t. People within the congregation see hosting the students as part of their ministry at CCLF and count it as an honor to pour into the younger generation.
2. Do you know where the mission trip will be focused?
The optional mission trip in April will be aimed at northern BC as the Lord opens the doors, although a number of other options are also being considered.
3. Who does the teaching at the school?
Director Dustin Barker, various pastors in the community and other gifted teachers in the Body.
4. What should a student absolutely bring to GDS?
Weather-appropriate clothing (possible -40 degree weather in winter), Bible, personal hygiene products, sleeping bag, notebooks, pens, spending money, backpack, travel bag, emergency just-in-case money, photo ID (such as a passport).
5. Where is 100 Mile House, and 100 miles from what?
100 Mile House is in the BC Interior just south of Williams Lake and north of Clinton. It was 100 miles on the Gold Rush trail from Mile 0 at Lillooet. It is a small district of 2500 people serving a surrounding population of 20,000 which doubles in summer times.
